Next time you are at the shop, check out the Suzuki GZ 250. It is usually parked right next to the Savage. You will note that the GZ has a great/wonderful seat, that appears, to my measuring to be the one that should have come with the Savage. Now, if I could find a used GZ seat I would buy it. I also would buy a used GZ gas tank. It is acually .7 gal larger than the Savage. Of course one would have to get an extension for the speedometer cable and an accessory (bar mounted) chrome speedometer!
